    This Online Citizen Police reporting system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a temporary copy of the report for free. Note: This will only be the initial report you submitted and will not include any additional reports if further follow-up is provided. 

    Please confirm the following to find out if online citizen police report filing is right for you:
    • This is not an emergency. 
    • This incident occurred within the Roy City Police Department city limits. 
    • There are no known suspects. 
    • This did not occur on a state freeway.
    • This incident is not occurring right now, does not need an immediate response, and is not part of an active investigation of a missing person.

    You may online file a police report online if you are reporting a minor crime (animal complaint, theft, property damage, etc.) that lacks any possible suspect information or evidence to be collected. The following types of crimes may be reported using our online reporting system:

    • Minor Vehicle Collision (No injuries and under $2,500 in damage)

    • Theft (No suspect)
    • Theft from vehicle (No damage, no suspect/vehicle burglary)
    • Traffic Complaints
    • Vandalism
    If your incident is not listed int he category selection list, please contact Weber Area Dispatch at (801) 395-8221 and request to speak with an officer to file your report. 

    Filing a Report
    To file a police report online, follow these steps:
    1. Fill in the information as completely and accurately as possible. 
    2. Read the Truth and Accuracy Statement. 
    3. Submit your report. 
    Once you've filed your police report online, you'll see the words "Your online police report has been submitted," indicating that your report is complete. It will then be forwarded to a police officer for review. If additional information is needed, the reviewing officer will contact you. When the report is complete, you'll receive an email with the case number assigned to your case. Therefore, please provide a valid email address when using this service. 

    You'll typically receive a response from the department within three business days regarding this case. Understand that our response time may vary based on officers' workload at the time.
