After a great deal of thought and counsel from our local emergency managers and staff, Roy City’s Mayor, Council and City Manager have provided the following guidance for the Roy City Parks and Recreation Staff.
FACILITIES
Aquatic Center- Closed 2021 season
Complex- OPEN with modified hours https://www.royutah.org/214/Recreation-Complex
AMENITIES
Bathrooms – OPEN until the end of season
Playgrounds – OPEN
Splash Pad – OPEN until September 8
Dog Park- Open- Maintain appropriate social distancing. Masks are encouraged.
Open Space- Open- Maintain appropriate social distancing. Masks are encouraged when not participating in physical activity.
Roger Phil Burnett Meadow Creek Pond- Open- Maintain appropriate social distancing. Masks are encouraged.
Tennis/Basketball Courts- Open- Maintain appropriate social distancing – No more than 20 people on or around courts at one time. Masks are encouraged when not actively participating.
Pickle Ball Courts – Open- Maintain appropriate social distancing – No more than 20 people on or around courts at one time - Masks are encouraged when not actively participating.
Skate park- Open – Maintain appropriate social distancing. Masks are encouraged when not actively participating.
Walking Trails- Open- Maintain appropriate social distancing- don’t congregate in the park or trail heads. Masks are encouraged when not able to maintain appropriate social distancing.
Municipal Park Fitness Station- Open- Maintain appropriate social distancing – No more than 20 people on or around area at one time - Masks are encouraged when not actively participating.
PROGRAMS
Beginner Basketball, Girls & Boys Basketball- Registration opens October 1-November 30, Season is January-March
RESERVATIONS
Park/Sporting Field Rentals- Reviewed on a case by case basis. Contact 801-774-1048 for more information.
Park Bowery Reservations – Open until the end of the season (October 3)
