Our Mission

Protect life and property while providing high quality, professional Emergency Medical Services and Fire Protection in a progressive, cost effective and community oriented system.

We service a population of over 32,800, in an area of 7.5 square miles with contemporary public education programs and preventive services. We support neighboring communities including Riverdale, South Ogden, Ogden, Washington Terrace, Northview, rural Weber and Davis counties with interlocal agreements for Fire, Rescue and Ambulance service.

Winter Fire Safety Tips

Here are some suggestions to help prevent fires and to expedite our response in times of emergency:

* Do not place discarded fireplace ashes in plastic containers or cardboard boxes. Place them outside in a metal container with a small amount of water. Ashes hold heat for up to 48 hours and can reignite when mixed with combustible products.
* Use only recommended fuels in your fireplace.
* Remove the snow from all driveways and sidewalks.
* If you have a fire hydrant on or near your property, please keep it clear of all snow.
* After a heavy snow storm, clear the snow from all roof flues.
* If you have elderly neighbors, check on them to see if they need help clearing the snow from their property.
* When you see a fire truck, ambulance, or other emergency vehicle, please pull over to the right side of the road and come to a complete stop until they pass.
* Keep your chimney clean. If you need to clean your chimney, brushes are available at Station #1, 5051 South 1900 West, to be used for one day free of charge.

If you have any questions, please call 774-1080 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. In an emergency of any nature, please call 9-1-1.
