The office of the City Attorney provides advice to the Mayor, City Council and the various departments within the City.

The Roy City Attorney prepares ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and memorandum in addition to litigation and risk management.

The City Attorneys office also prosecutes misdemeanors and infractions as provided by city ordinances or state law.
